About us - History
WOOD GRAIN LAB was founded in 2015 by two friends who shared the idea and the desire to create products that are fun for children, but at the same time – safe. The very first products and orders were realised in a garage in Mangaļi, Jaunmilgravis.
After servicing the first orders, understanding more about what was on the market and listening to customer feedback, work started on improving the products to make them more exciting for their users – young children.
The experience gained over the years has helped to develop the products to the point where they are now – certified and meet all safety requirements.
Each product is made from birch plywood purchased from the company “Latvijas finieris”. Lignin glue is used in the production process – as one of the main gaol in creating products which is environmentally friendly. The products, which are not in the classic material colour but use paints and varnishes to treat them, are certified so that they can be used for children’s furniture.
